Tsaribrod, Yugoslavia The Bulgarians see links to the Demographic Study of the population in Serbia. Mirela Weleva Exclusively Reporting from Tsaribrod for Newspaper Standart The Serbian Police enter in the TV station of the Bulgarians in Tsaribrod, Yugoslavia. The town Tsaribrod has 99% Bulgarian population and was for the second time in the last month blocked by Serbian Police. The Journalists from the local Radio and TV station rejected the attempt to imposed Peter Jovanovich as a chairman of the Bulgarian station. The Serbian Police send 50 Policeman to bring against the will of the local population and the station from everybody rejected a new Director Jovanovich. More than 60 Policeman blocked also the city. The citizen of Tsaribrod linked this terrible behavior of the occupation power Serbia with the count of the population in Serbia. The local journalists trying objectively to explain to the people of the city and the surrounding area not to be afraid to declare themselves for that what they are - Bulgarian. That's may be the real "task" of the new Director Jovanovich, who wants to "teach" the citizen, that they are "shopi", Serb, but not Bulgarian. On March 21, 2002 Jovanovich try with the help of the local Police to enter in the Bulgarian Cultural Center, but he was not permitted by the majority of the journalists. On March 24, 2002 in the night all the windows and the door of the Bulgarian Cultural Center had been broken. The Occupation Power Serbia won once again.
